We are using easy to follow trails and a regroup at major turns. So stock lights will work.

It will of course not be a kamikaze run because night and for safety.

It never hurts to have auxiliary lighting for day and night runs. So if lights are on your short list of mods for your truck, i'd do it.

They aren't necessary, but you want to be visible to others when a dust cloud surrounds you. You could grab some cheap Rigid D2's or something for rear facing lights and it would run about $150-250. Rear facing are most important so the person behind you can see you.

I just mounted my rear facing, and it makes a HUGE difference, might add a second to the passenger side.

you can always add them while you are there if you decide. i will be there along with others who are more than capable of wiring them up if you need help.
