North Rim- nothing to see here

Well, not to be out done by John M, I spent a couple of days at the North Rim this week. Mid-November is the best time to go as all the crazy tourists have moved on. Saw, at the most, 20 people. Here’s the parking lot

The real treat was driving out to Point Sublime. 18 miles of 4x4 high clearance roads. Took us just under 2 hours one way. Best part of the trip - saw no one else the entire day. Here’s a stop along the way

We did run into some local wild life



Point Sublime is basically a 300 degree overlook of the canyon.

The local bison herd was grateful we were having hamburgers. We put up with this crappy view for lunch

I also managed to use my BD lights. Yes, it’s on the pavement but I didn’t remember to get a pic till we were back on tarmac

What BD setup are you running? Awesome pics!

I’m using OA setup with Squadron Pros dual beams white/amber and the S1 wide angle. I did some desert running with this setup I think anything above 60 mph and I would want more lighting

Very nice! About 20 years ago I took 2 weeks and made a big loop from Phoenix. I took in Sedona, Flagstaff, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, and ended up in Vegas to watch the Supercross. Pictures don't do justice to that part of the country, especially not the GC or the Hoover dam.

Wellllll, Wellll..Looks like an Amazing Adventure! I love the North rim vs the south rim every time. Always less tourists. Your lucky it's still open. Usually has a bunch of snow by now. Glad you were able to hit some of the FS roads. I was a lot further West along the Rim.
