My Internet is down at house so I'll upload pics at work tomorrow... Damn 25w reverse lights are waaaayyy brighter! So worth buying and waiting

Just like the old ones these have a 194 base (which fits a 921, but not other way around)... I'm happy

Okay, those 194 base 921 reverse lights are awesome! Which one are you going to stick with for reverse?

Are you using the old ones for the bed lights? Thing the new 25W will work for the bed light? It would be nice to place one order.


BTW, the dome connectors were just a little too loose. I gave them a pinch and now they hold the LED just fine. No more smacking

Oh and license plates where a snap, pun intended. Just used my pocket knife to pry the rearward tab and pull the little buggers out. My 194 bulbs are just barley short enough to fit. They aren't super bright, but the color is better.


Oh, and I used one of my AMB puddle lights, and took apart one of my OE ones and stuck in a 31mm festoon bulb. I glued it last night with some automotive RTV silicon, smoothed it out with my finger, and let it dry over night. I installed today and so far so good. Now I need to invest in some of the expensive 921 bulbs for the bed light and the reverse.

I did a little research, seems my cargo lights I have now are 44mm long and the 25w lights I just bought are a little shorter at 41mm so if I was to do it all over again, I'd DEFINITELY buy 2 sets of the 25w lights for reverse and cargo.

I think I just talked myself into getting a 2nd set of the 25w for my cargo light... why not!

BTW, just to mention... the brightness between 7.5 and 25 bulbs is more dramatic in person than thru a camera. Also the light is noticeably more "white" with the 25w bulbs.

Looks like the new 194 bulbs should be in tomorrow or today if I'm lucky. More updates shortly and I'll update the OP as I discover which is better

Just installes the Samsung LED 194 bulbs in my license plate lights... Completely unreal how much brighter and whiter they are!! I orsered another set for interior as well as ones to replace my puddle lights. My Internet is down till tomorrow for a tech to come fix, so pictures will be coming!

Here's some updated license plate lights using Samsung LEDs, even got pics of what I had before versus new. Highly recommend!



Old 5050 LEDs on left, Samsung LEDs on right. Notice how much whiter they are. Picture doesn't really show how much brighter, but trust me when I say I was pleasantly surprised how much brighter!

I do see more light in the back up camera, but I can't tell any difference in my view when backing up.
