Hit a deer at 3am in Mississippi, damaged the bumper, screwed my alignment, and cut a tire. Called roadside and was back on the road in an hour.
To steer straight, my steering wheel was in the 2 o’clock position and had to drive 600 miles back to Florida.

What a day!

I hate that for you my friend. I have lots of lights to try and avoid them. I light up the road at night so hopefully I see them in time to avoid them. We have lots of them here that use the roadside as their pasture. Hope you get er done and back on the road post haste.

It was on the side and bolted across right as I was passing. Now is the time for me to look at aftermarket bumpers.

Thanks. Wonder what the damage estimate for repair will be....I was hoping not to file a claim.

I don’t want to file a 1k claim to have my rates go up $500 every 6 months for 5 years. I use insurance for big ticket items.

As a retired insurance adjuster I can tell you that damage will be around $5-6k. Minimum.

I’m thinking that’s already a big ticket repair my friend, and we haven’t started taking it apart yet. I wish you the best. Are you going to try and fix some of it yourself?

I appreciate the feedback. I guess I was under estimating the damage. I will report back after I have the body shop take a closer look. Thanks.
