Nick...that video link that Guy posted (not for the Multi-Gauge) mentions needing to tap a vacuum line. Is that required for this? Doesn't OBD II already have all the info it needs?

The two is only required in the entry level, Boost Gauge, not the Multi-Gauge.

The Multi-Gauge will accurately read boost from from the OBD2 port.

However, if you use a plug and play module for added boost (ex. AFE Scorcher, Chipwerke), that module intentionally fools the factory computer into reporting lower boost than actual. So the OBD2 boost reading will read the “fooled” computer input, not the actual.

In that event, if you wanted an accurate boost reading AND you have one of those devices installed, you would need a boost tap to gather accurate data.
