GPS - Topo Insight Pro 2013 maps

Seen a few posts about the availability of these new maps.

Anyone download the maps yet and use them? Thoughts?

Not yet....

On lowrance website it says it is compatible with baja hd5, but on insights website it only says hd7...

Hmm.... Just noticed the inconsistency between the two. Sent Insight support an email asking them to confirm compatibility.

When you find out let us know. I have the mapcreator software but its still in the package. Maybe I should try to use it.

Lowrance told me the topo insight naps work on all lowrance plotters / depth finders

I can dig up the email if need be

It only covers states out west. FYI.

Map create can make background maps the US, just not all on one chip...

They have East and West available.. I am going to piddle fart with it tonight.. Since mine is older software version, i have to update it first to use the new maps...
