I'm over 40+ but came from a 2012 Raptor that I had for 6 years. Prior to that I had a 2008 Jeep SRT8 for 4 years. Prior to that was a 2004 Ford SVT Lightning.

Just interested in a rough demographic of Gen 2 owners. From this forum I recognize some names I have seen on other enthusiast forums, and based on the comments and suggestions I have read I would guess:

1)Gen 2 Raptor owners tend to come from a sports car background - LSX, Mustang, Subaru, Porsche, BMW etc - and have had reasonable to extensive experience modding, tracking, obsessing

2)Gen 2 owners may have the Raptor as a secondary vehicle to a daily driver and probably not as their main performance vehicle

3)owners may be 40+ in age in the median range

4)owners may have never owned an true off-road vehicle (true rock crawling FJ/CJ/TJ/JK or Rallye style race car) but may have had a Grand Cherokee, Range Rover, X5/X6, non-lifted premium 4x4 Full sized pickup

How far "off" (or "on") am I?

To help you out on your research:

1. Gen 2 owner- currently have several cars, Maserati Quattroporte GTS (wife's car), Porsche Cayman GT4 Club sport x2, Liger LMP3, and a 1970 442. The only one stock is the 442 (pure collector car, 2 owner car, was my Dad's car from high school). I have owned everything from a Z28 Camaro to a McLaren 570s. Would take up a lot of space to list everything.

2. My Raptor is my daily driver.

3. Yes....middle age.

4. I have owned a few offroad vehicles, mainly for mud. 2 F250's lifted and modified, 1 Jeep that was a pure mud machine, and a custom built sand rail.

I’ve was raised on potato farm and grew up driving trucks. I bought a gen 1 and then a gen 2 raptor because they don’t break when I take them off-road and I don’t have to drive like a grampa on loose gravel and dirt roads. Even the stock F150s cant go anywhere I need to get to without modifications, but mods cause problems and can void the warranty. Why pay the same or more for a luxury truck That you have to mod when you just buy the raptor and be done.

Guess I am the exception that proves the rule. Never had a pickup, sports car or motorcycle. I buy em and keep em just sold my 1998 expedition. Always bought a base model with no bells or whistles. Will not be a daily driver I have a company vehicle and gas card so no need to rack up the miles on this one. Age 50+ just figured it was time to splurge on a nice truck. I do have a nice house and a good job and the cost of living in Vegas is reasonable and you only live once.

I see some very pricey current and previous cars. So rich is definately in the demographic lol. I am not rich by any means. If I was I would have my gen 1 and also a gen 2.

51 year old ass, 17 yr. Old brain. Daily driver only 2 weeks old. 1 HD road glide ( for sale) 2 Kawasaki Vaquero ( not for sale) couldn't give me a BMW. Traded a 17 F-250 8" lift. Live in Pasadena tx and the walking definition of redneck. That's my demographic

1-3 are correct. I've had other off-road lifted or prerunner styles trucks though. All Chevy.
