Double shims on coilover mount?

My 2011 SCREW had the normal tapered steel shim on top of the strut mount D-side, but I found them doubled up on the P-side. Has anyone seen this before?

Actually, I think it was. It's been apart so long I don't remember but why would there be a spacer on to of the bucket? Just to make the thread length equal?

It is so the bottom of the nut has a level surface to bear on. First tapered spacer allows angled shock to bear on a level surface (coil bucket) and second taper allows angled bolts to have their nut bear on the surface of the tapered spacer.
