I'm not a big fan of chrome so I wanted to remove the chrome cup holder and shifter trim so I can paint them. I assume they're held in by little clips and it would be easiest to get a flat head or plastic removal tool, but I dont want to break any clips or anything. Does anyone have an easy way to remove those?

The whole console will come off pretty easily. Just unplug your switches and it’ll pull right out. Then you have access to the underside and can pop the chrome trim out. I did the same thing with mine but hydro dipped all the chrome

Also you’ll have to shift into neutral or drive to get the console to clear the shifter

Looks good man. You can also get the trim off the shifter too. It’s a little more tricky though. I think i had to go to YouTube to figure it out
