Thank you very much. I will give it another shot. One question - my original shifter has a T/S on the shifter. It stands for Tow/Sport mode. Mine is a Platinum not the Raptor. Wondering if the shifter I bought (only shown Tow) would retains both modes.

I can not answer that, do not know if it will have the same clip for the wiring. Look at page 11 of this thread, there are photos of where a guy got the boot uncliped using his house key!

Well just got my carbon fiber shifter knob on this evening. Thanks to all the talk on here I was able to pop off the boot, pull the plug and 2 screws, pull off old, install C.F. and reverse process. Simple easy swap that makes a pretty big difference.
Thanks everyone!
Btw I got mine through Tasca for under 200 and arrived in like 5 days.

Wow did the price jump on these.
I bought mine in June for $70 ordered from a local dealer.

+1 $61 bucks. Honestly, I kind of like the stock one better, but not enough to go to the effort of re-installing it. but hey, I might could be convinced for these prices...

This is THE thread that made me register! Just wanted to thank all that shared in this thread with info and pics about the CF parts. This is my 2016 XLT 302a pkg with the CF shifter and trim panel above the glove box...

again, sincere thanks for all the info!

I didn't know that any XLT's came with leather. Or did you add Katzkin seats as well? Looks like a raptor steering wheel too. Link to your build thread? Definitely glad you verified fitment on a '16 XLT.

My truck came with the sport cloth seats...I got a super killer deal on front leather seat covers and the complete rear bench with armrest and leather covers from a Lariat. Paid $200.00 for it all! As for the Raptor wheel, yeah took me a lil while to figure out the mapping but when I did I made a harness that allows the paddle shifters to work as they do in the Raptor. I now sell these harnesses to others doing this upgrade. This is the link to the only build thread I have on my truck.....yes I lowered my truck. Please guys dont give me static on this. It was bought with the goal of building a sport truck with a firmer ride and lots of gadgets. Im almost done with it....the big brake caliper kit is next... will share pics here of them when I am done stripping the factory powder coating and re doing them with custom decals on them. Lowered or not I think a few of you will appreciate how they turn out on my truck.

Dude, your truck is sweet. If you aren't off-roading, why pose like you are. Your stance is spot on as well. Nice work mapping out the raptor wheel. If I decide to keep my supercab, I may hit you up for a harness someday. Looks like you have been really thoughtful in your progress man. Great looking truck.
