Great thread and it's good to see this subject mentioned (and of course, ridiculed by those who know nothing) on this forum.

If you want to learn anything about "overlanding" (aka camping, exploring, off roading, global exploring, etc.) you can do it ALL on this forum where people know their shit and share their knowledge and experience: Expedition Portal Forum

Not a bad choice but the Raptor can go and do most anything off road. Wherever it will fit! And that's the key - the truck is wider than everything else off road which makes it a challenge for many trails.

If it fits the Raptor will get you there and back. It's VERY capable offroad.

Personally I'd ban you for your opinion because I don't agree with it and because you suggested a Dodge/Ram/FCA vehicle.

Here's my Overland Raptor Stock raptor with offroad/overland trailer..... works perfect.

Grabbed a bed tent for now (until I can justify the extra K's for a Moby1 or equivalent) works pretty good for a 6'2" guy. I don't think I could sleep in the cab.

That's a cool tent....mind if I ask what brand it is??
