So last night I got lazy and didn't vent the sunroof before opening... heard some crunches and now it is acting funky as all hell. Im sure the guides are toast so I've ordered some replacements from sunroofdoctor.com - I will be replacing the guides and then reprogramming the sunroof. I am following this guide (along with good videos in the thread) found here: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-2020-sunroof-rails-replacement-guide-printable-479078/

I will keep ya'll posted as to how it goes in reality. Seems like a pretty straight forward process and can't be more difficult than replacing the darn heating element in the driver seat!

So glad that I don't have a sunroof in mine.

Vent first? Is that to used to break loose a sticking rubber seal prior to sliding back? If this is an issue perhaps a light coating of silicone (NOT petroleum!) grease on the seals as a routine maintenance item?
