so youre saying if it didnt sync properly the truck wont even start? if so i'll have to test that out tomorrow cause i have a spare key hidden in my truck incase for some reason this one for some reason decides to go awol on me then at least ill be able to drive home

Yep if doesn't sync with truck, won't start. If it works you're golden. I have only rolled with this new key with no issues so far

Im a little late to this thread lol , but i was thinking of doing this to my 10' im undecided and started looking for more info... how do you guys like the flip key so far?!

Theres one similar to the remote start key.. but just 3 buttons, i guess thats another choice to go.. since the factory rs from the newer models doesnt work :/

Yeah, realized that after I posted. Wasn't paying attention.


That won't work; it's a smart key and is made for push-button start. Therefore, you'd have to manually pull the key out of the fob every time you wanted to start your truck.
