87 octane tune?

As stated not sure why you would want to run 87 on a forced induction engine however MPT makes a trans tune for those running 87.

.60¢ x 36 gallons x 52 weeks = $1,000 in fuel savings over a year

I can see where some would find that attractive, but don't buy this kind of car / truck if $1,000 is going to make or break. For sure don't tune the thing.

Believe your stock tune reads your octane and will change timing accordingly which in turn will leave "factory" horsepower on the table if you are looking to get max HP.

We carry 87 octane tunes for 6.2 and 3.5 but it is not suggested. Fuel economy and optimal performance is with 91 or higher so it will not be an increase really. Also if it is a 3.5 ecoboost it is suggested by manufacturer to run premium fuel but we also suggest it because they get that build up on back of intake valves so better fuel will help.
