Hey Everyone. I just picked up a new 2022 Raptor and noticed a weird paint/body panel defect. There is a slightly raised line on the passenger door that can only seen at certain angles. The paint looks and feels good. It’s almost as if the panel below has the defect. Any thoughts? Adding pictures.EC01FA36-1B55-45C4-8413-3B3AEDCB24B3.jpeg

I can barely feel the raised line. The service dept says it’s a paint issue but I’m hesitant for a RE spray.

I have an appointment on Dec 8th. I’ve seen paint defects and this doesn’t look like that. This looks and feels like panel has a ridge and the factory painted over it.

I would see if a paintless dent repair person could make it go away. If it's a ridge, they can likely make it gone in under an hour. The dealer will gladly pay for that also.

Ive gone to pick up new cars and when they had paint defects would flat out turn them down as I dont want respray especially on dark paint. But with this crazy market and supply chain you almost have to accept it.

Also with these robots doing the spraying you would think all these issues wouldnt happen.
