2013 has reinforced frame?

I checked two '13 raptors at work today(I work at a ford dealer)both frames reinforced. Also checked a couple of '13 f150s. Most not reinforced, but checked a new arival '13 f150, HAD frame reinforced just like the raptor. Looks like the frames are baically the same.

that's strange. maybe they used up "leftover" 2012 frames for the first run of 2013 f-150s

I do have a couple questions please. Were should I be looking for the frame to bend (were the axial bottoms out on the rubber stops)? Mine will probably not see the conditions a few on here are going to put their trucks through, (yes a road queen) however I do plan on pulling a 6000 lbs snowmobile trailer which has 1100 lbs tongue weight. I plan on using a weight distribution hitch. Do I need to keep an eye on my frame due to pulling?

I would like to point out the obvious with Birdman's photos. Even if wall thickness were the same, the differences in the stampings at the openings would improve frame strength. Curves always add strength. Anyone care to comment?

No way. Only if you plan to leave the ground at 90mph while you are pulling it. It is a beast.

My 2012 has the bulge like the 13 maybe 10 did not, Its a frame evolution.

I believe my 2012 has the same bulge. I'll check tomorrow. Hopefully it stops raining..
