Thinking of checking out Afton Canyon this weekend.
I heard that the rains changed a lot of the parts of the Mojave road trail. The two major water crossings from what I have been reading on the web are pretty much gone. (the second one by the train bridge I read is now sand)
Was going to...
Saw this Ford truck at our local movie theater and thought the bumper was awesome.
Anyone know who makes it and what model it is?
It had provisions for a winch and four Rigid dually LED lights and a Rigid light bar.
Thanks in advance.
A couple months ago I bought a lift for my garage.
I work on all of our vehicles but have a two car garage with a low ceiling (can't even fit the raptor in there)
So, I looked into the best lift that would suit my criteria.
This is what I ended up with...
Short notice but I found this last night and it looked interesting:

Hey SVT Raptor Owners!
BAK Industries and its local distributor has agreed to sponsor a special group buy for BAK's new product, the BAK BOX!
Here is some info on the BAK BOX: (requires BAK FLIP product!)
The BakBox is a collapsable cargo / toolbox that snaps onto the rail of any BakFlip...
All,
Right now our trucks are under warranty, but I like to make sure the things I buy last a long time. The less things are stressed, the less likely they will break or wear out.
The USB port on the SYNC system is one of those items I would like to prevent failing.

AT&T has a new smart phone called TerreStar Genus that is a cell phone with satellite backstop.
This could be an invaluable (and lifesaving) tool for Raptor owners, campers, etc.
Just this weekend while camping, cell phone coverage was spotty.
Story, price and details here...
I have this issue and I have read that the skip yolk needs to get greased/lubricated.
Have read that Ford trucks have had this issue for a while and it's a well known problem.
I've been in Brian's truck and his has the same issue as mine.
Has anyone here resolved this?
It basically...
Interesting if this gets better mileage than the outgoing 5.4L and current 6.2L

Hey guys and gals,
Has anyone removed the center, "flow through" console or does anyone have a PDF how to?
I'm installing the Ford trailer brake controller myself and the dash trim removal directions found online don't really apply to the Raptor since the guides online are for 2009 F150...
Today after I got home, I took a look at my truck and noticed something weird.
Driver's side wheel well was ENTIRELY covered in this film of oil. It was very thin. Not like motor oil.
Parts of the frame were completely covered too.
The top of the shock perch looks very wet with this...
Ok, this is exciting.
Looks like Ford is releasing the new all aluminum GT500 engine and the brand new Mustang GT engine (5.0L 32v) as crate engines.
They list as "late summer" and it will be very interesting to see what the costs are.
I'm guessing $22,000 for the GT500 engine and $7500...
Seriously, what was this interior decorator thinking?
WTF, seriously WTF :potstir:
As if anyone doesn't know what kind of truck you are sitting in and god help you if the air bag deploys.

Weathershield HP
I've bought three covers (same material) and am very happy a raptor cover is now available.
No affiliation other than happy customer.
I love these things and put them in every car we own or previously owned.
My stock battery was fine but I felt like putting the best under the engine bay.
Especially with all the lights on the front of my truck, an additional concern (but not now) was running accessories off the truck and...
I am seriously debating going for this instead of replacing my entire 5.4L 3V with a GT500 engine.
This is about 1/4 the cost (all said and done) and it looks like it will get me the numbers I want.
Looks like this might be the next mod I do to my 2010 Raptor...
See attached image link.
Apparently it's ok to use 10W-40 in our 5.4L 3V engines if used in a climate above -20F
Personally I will continue to use Mobil 1 0W-20 Full Synthetic.
Guys,
Check this thread out:

I posted on this thread about hoping the guy would do a run for modern F150.
Looks like he might be interested.
Take a look and see if we can get...

Has the driveshaft yolk lubrication problem that has plagued previous F150's been resolved?
This problem causes a very hard to track down, very subtle noise that can be difficult to reproduce at a dealer site.
