I'm just generally curious, but I have two different use cases. One is for a dashcam that can go into "sentry mode" while stationary and I'd like to keep it powered 24x7x365 by default (it's on the OEM hardwire kit that automatically cuts off at some specific voltage so it won't actually kill...
I don't really use the mobile app very much and I opened it for the first time in a few months to remotely check my fuel level just now only to discover a few month old message "Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power."
I didn't notice anything wrong at the time. I looked in my calendar and see...
I'm a low mileage driver. I'm looking back at my maintenance records (sparse because my truck is flawless so it's just routine fluids, basically) and I'm wondering, is there a way to get my miles driven "per time period" out of the truck or out of the Ford cloud systems somehow? Like, maybe I...
SoCal mild weather. Light driving, mostly street queen. What's the go-to recommendation for oil and a filter? I'm finding it shockingly hard to get a simple answer (is it "5w-30, full synthetic, any brand you like, whatever filter fits"?).
16k miles in my case (so broken in), this will be third...
Lol, helllll yes this is the answer. Unfortunately this is superseded by my wife telling me the LATCH platform only works up to some weight limit and we're going to need to use seatbelts at some point.
Got a link to one that I can buy? Makes sense but normal seatbelts (and thus most extenders) don't clip into the female portion of this system. As far as I can tell it's a custom system.
I mean... the AC wasn't running though, only the heater. Does that also condense water in the same way (I didn't think that's the case for cars, but perhaps I'm wrong)?
I guess if the HVAC drain is right above that spot then sure, pretty much case closed.
2019 Gen 2 bought new in Feb of 2020. Has about 7k very light pandy-street-queen miles so far. Essentially a flawless 802A vehicle where I did my first major service about 2 months ago. I've always noticed a slippy trans, but I think that's correlated with cold drivetrain and relatively normal...

To be clear I am using the LATCH system now and I love it. Unfortunately, LATCH is an early age (low weight) solution only. There's a necessary gap where children have outgrown the weight limits of LATCH but are not yet ready to just hang out in Mommy's lap (lol). This was not obvious to me...
Is there a way to disable the inflatable belt so it can be used with car seats? I specifically want to do a Cybex Sirona S (wifey chose that one), and Cybex themselves haven't approved for usage with this new kind of belt. Unfortunately, I'm having a very hard time finding recent manufacturer...

Is there a way to scroll back the shade (leaving the glass) all the way back with a single button? Maybe a double or triple-click action? It's super annoying to have to wait then push it again to go the second half.
What about the glass, too? Wouldn't it be neat to push a single button to...
I found this thread while looking around for "always on DC from the fuse box so I can wire a dashcam" (I have a 12VDC battery voltage protector do prevent going below some appropriate level... I used it for years in my previous truck and it's great, just need to move it to my Raptor).
Did you...
Confirmed. Heater on homepage of sync and just 1 click away from Carplay (Ford logo to sync page then heater button is there). Good enough for my needs, but I’m very anti touchscreen as the ONLY interface. I think dedicated buttons are the best and software is for programmable shortcuts and stuff.
I got the OEM alert to upgrade my 2019's sync to 3.4 back in October, which I did without issue. I'll check my home screen when I get back to the truck to be sure, but I expect I'll have the heater icon on the homepage too, which will be nice!
As far as I can tell the only way to manually control the steering wheel heater is through the traditional Sync UI, which gets clobbered as soon as I plug my iPhone in. It seems to me that the only way to manually control my heater is to completely unplug my phone so the Sync system comes...
