Well....the same way I got into a Raptor just caused me to get outta one, hopefully temporarily. Just got drilled by a girl running a red light.

2018 801a w/ 32k miles & lots of a la carte options-pano roof/leather/sync3/nav/blis etc sticker like $67k

fairly sure truck will be totaled & even if they’re on the fence I ain’t taking it back, transfer case smashed up/front diff/headlights/drivers side fender/rad & IC smashed & 3 airbags went off etc

I own the truck outright & have a few thousand in aftermarket stuff (do have receipts) & also balance of a b2b ford 100k warranty.

Truck had gearhead tune w/ SCT tuner - should I dump it back to stock & would I be able to have gearhead write a new tune for a new truck?

I also have a whole separate set of wheels w/ nokian snows that are nearly brand new....so I really am motivated to get another one.

what makes things worse inventory is kinda tight now on 2020s

Any help/advice/backup documentation anyone can provide to help me get the most $$$ from the ins company would be much appreciated. I feel like anything less than $60k and I’m getting Fd

I hope it isn’t as bad as I think...doubtful any frame damage but I hate the idea of driving around a truck that was flawless & now has been in a major accident- particularly since I own it outright as I said now it no longer has clean carfax for instance.

people need to put their ******** phones down & pay the F attention!!!!

JAYZUSS! I’m glad you’re ok. F*cking red light running scum.

Good news, you have a bunch of high dollar options, which helps if they have to total but honestly, she doesn’t look that bad. I mean, it won’t buff right out, but a good body place will fix her right up.

Yup. This.

Sack that cell yakking, makeup applying, starbucks swilling hag for EVERY dime you have to outlay, from the ride back home through every medical bill. Please also get checked out. An adrenaline dump can hide a multitude if serious injuries, even if it’s just soft tissue. Don’t fraud this woman, but don’t say to yourself ‘oh heck, it’s not worth the effort’. That said, every dime you have to spend, hours off work to do anything related to it, bill them.

The bad news is, you’re in MA, and bumper cars seems to be the state sport. The good news is, you’re in MA and if there’s one industry that’s really strong there, it’s the auto collision repair business.

In the diesel world at least tunes are per vin so you'd have to pay for a new tune. I really doubt you're getting $60k thats basically full value. Take the money buy a cheap used f-150 for your snow tires and wait on the gen 3 reveal to see what to do with that money

If it does make sense to total it out I was considering getting an older diesel truck & sticking cash on side as you suggest see what happens

I would even consider the TRX but gonna be too much $$$ & too little MPGs to justify

If I didn’t own outright I wouldn’t be so rigid on what I’d take for it as a total loss....if it is totaled out that girl essentially treated my truck like piñata Full of $67k worth of greenbacks

Best thing you can do is find a few dealers with similar comps and show your insurance company. I’d guess around $60k plus whatever parts receipts you have.

Shit that sucks. Hope you weren’t hurt. My experience when a car is deemed a total loss is they do comps, just like in real estate, see what replacements go for, and that’s what you will get. As for upgrades, usually unless you’ve declared them to the insurance company ahead of time, hmm.

I traded my 2019 loaded Raptor and got 60 for it just as a case in point. Dealer listed it for 65.
