Just checking here to see if anyone has a contact at King I can call regarding my coil overs we ordered back in November. We have called several times and they give us the same story they are working on them. Getting really old fast. If I would have known King was this bad I would have gone with another option for custom coil overs. I like the King products but so far their customer service is lacking.

I could ask them for a refund but the set of shocks I have on order are custom lengths and at this point I might as well wait since Fox was not able to make the coil overs and rear shocks I needed. I am in a tough spot with them since we built my suspension specific to the measurements of the King shocks.

I wrote king an email 2 weeks ago regarding spring length in the coilivers. No response and not surprised.

i literally had to go ******* on someone at king, and even then, the shop owner had to speak with brett as well.

Come to find out 3 months after they were on the truck... they had the wrong springs on them, wrong eyelets, were missing jounce bumpers, and something else too.

I love the way the shocks perform, but king customer service does really really suck, unless your last name is baldwin.

Unfortunately this seems to be the case with most Offroad companies.

I had similar issues with fox on my gen 1. Shipped blown Schocks one with a bent shaft, etc etc.

I went with king this time, and it snot much better. Had a bad spring and had to get SVC involved to get w new coil sent.

this really doesn't surprise me. If I had the same choice again, I would have probably went Fox. At least with fox their customer service is a bit better and they are used to meeting production timelines.

When I ordered Kings for my Gen2, We ordered the 4.0s, 3.5s and 2.5 coilovers on the same day. The 4.0s showed up TWENTY WEEKS BEFORE the 3.5s and 2.5s. King blew my first deadline by 8 weeks with no apologies or repercussions. As stated, what they sent wasnt even close to the correct build spec.

No one at King cared. They wouldn't even give me updated timelines after missing the first deadline because I identified myself as the end user customer and not the shop that placed the order.

It wasn't my best moment, but I lost my mind on the sales rep, whom I'm pretty certain stopped working there immediately after ( and not by his choice.)

Word to the wise, plan ahead and set a deadline that is double whatever they tell you is the lead time.

Fox just raised their prices 10% across the board. It might even make sense to buy used shocks and have someone qualified and capable refinish, rebuild and revalve them for you.

I can say for sure that SVC knows shocks well. Between the tweaks that they made to my shocks parts-wise and Jarret's shock tuning expertise, once they were done playing with the shocks, they work 20-30x better than they ever did straight from King. The back of my truck with 4.0s was donkey kicking like a **** before hand. Afterwords, my rear still isnt quite up to what the front midtravel is capable of, but the only other step to improve things would be to link the truck, which I'm not interested in doing at this time.

I also dont really want to deal with all of the hassles that come with spring under, as it is almost as much work to sort out as linking the truck.

With the way I'm set up now, I can't outdrive the truck without scaring myself or taking it to a point where I feel like something big might break. Once I can outdrive the truck, I'll still probably leave it as is and buy a class 10 or a 7100/7200 toy to play with ( or pick up a UTV because holy crap do they rip when dialed.)

We finally got an update on Friday, they should be shipping out early this week. That makes it about 15 weeks since ordered so I guess I am on schedule. Hopefully they are what we ordered with no issues. I am needing them soon since I have one of my front shocks going out, a few weeks back started make very loud knocks when offroad and starting to sage a little. We haven't looked into it yet since I am waiting on the King's.
