Finally hit MSRP, how long till invoice deals available

The reason it matters is if you pay 30k over msrp, dealers will charge that knowing people will pay it, vs if everyone sticks to msrp, they can't mark it up

I can buy a truck today if I want because the markup balances supply and demand. If Ford mandated MSRP, demand would exceed supply and most of us would be stuck on two year long waitlists.

That assumes that there's a huge shortage of supply. With the 2018 orders open, socal dealers have around 50 raptors sitting on lots expecting 10k-15k over (last I checked, Ken Grody ford had 36, every single other dealer has at least 1 to 4). At most your waitlist would be a few months, maybe 9 at max. These dealers are buying raptors from other dealers at MSRP to rip people a new one. Hence my argument that paying over msrp simply ruins it for everyone. On the bright side, resale is much better for those who pay msrp :)

lol i didn't pay +$30k. but in all fairness i joined here after i bought it too. i agree with you, but sadly there are many just like me that paid over and didn't mind at all. or know any better either. i got a great deal to me. and did save 10k over the first one i was looking at that had a sunroof. most raptor owners never find this forum or leave before even joining. there is no way to possibility boycott the adm. remember any possession is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. that is why it is called msrp. had i not been the first to show up and start the paperwork i wouldn't have a raptor probably either due to some one trying to offer more then my agreed price. they did offer him a 800 scab with beedlocks for the same price though lol.

Haahaaaa.... the g2 premature ej types sure are in a tizzy now that prices are dropping. Anything to justify blowing their *** early. Its just a truck , one they will make as many of as they can. Once they have sucked all the cash they can out of the overly excited kids out there , msrp will be for suckers.

Going to guess that prices are going to stay up there since all the gen 1's keep breaking

More than 25k trucks have been made and only a couple thousand are still looking for a buyer. A big chunk of those were sold at a markup.

A salesperson I talked with whose dealer is charging a steep ADM said only about 1 in 10 people who looked at the truck decided to pay the ADM. The other 9 walked. No surprise. I’m sure a large percentage of those that walked would have paid MSRP. Meaning there is still huge unmet demand for this truck once prices get more reasonable.

I’m sure you’d agree those 50 raptors by you would disappear this weekend if the dealers dropped the price to list.

keep smoking that crap......70,000 on mine and I've replaced.... tires. Now on the other hand after reading about all the issues the g2 is having its the first truck id probably buy the extended warranty on.

There's hundreds of trucks sitting on lots and now 2018s already on order. Anything with an ADM has been growing stale. The supply now far exceeds demand.

At $20k over sticker I agree with you. That's why prices are moving to MSRP. There is still a huge pool of buyers that were not willing to pay ADM that will happily pony up for MSRP. If Ford could find 20k buyers willing to pay stipid silly ADMs, it shouldn't be a problem for them to find 100k buyers willing to pay MSRP. That's 3 years of production.
