Gen 1 doesn't have the marker lights on the flares.

They're definitely going to get torn off a lot out there. I just saw a thread this week about a guy who got his fender flare hit by some dummy at a gas station. There's a reason why the flares are attached with cheap plastic clips (other than they are cheap) and that's because they break away pretty easily and save your truck from much more expensive damage.

Definitely a bad place to put the marker lights.

The Gen 1 does have marker lights and this is the reasoning from an interview with a Ford engineer.

"The extra track width also meant the Raptor’s design had to adhere to federal regulations mandating marker lamps. This could have given the Raptor a pseudo appearance of a dually truck at night, but Williams and the team got creative. Nowhere in the government’s fine print did it say where the lamps had to go, so the team placed three bright-orange LEDs right into the Raptor’s grille, three in the center high-mounted stoplight and two each at the corners of the front and rear bumpers."

I said it doesn't have THE marker lights on the flares. Not that it doesn't have marker lights. Can you read? Have you ever even seen a picture of a Gen 1 Raptor?

Must have read your comment a little too quickly, my apologies. No need to play the jerk card.

Just came across this article from February:
Ford Working on Apple CarPlay, Android Auto for Sync 3

Supposedly Android Auto (and Apple Carplay) will be available with Sync 3 "later this year."

Also see: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/23/technology/rivals-google-and-apple-fight-for-the-dashboard.html

One of the most widespread adopters will be Ford, which this year will begin offering both Android Auto and CarPlay in conjunction with the revamping of the automaker’s much-criticized Sync system. By the end of 2016, they will be available on all Fords sold in the United States.

So Google Maps will happen!

Apologies not necessary. I just wasn't about to thank you for using google to (mistakenly) inform me where my marker lights are located.

Bro, on this forum, you are the jerk card. You showed up here with a really bad attitude not looking to learn about the Raptor, but instead looking to educate us about it (you know, the guys who actually own one). Thing is, you don't know much about anything, let alone the Raptor, as you demonstrated above.
