It actually looks like injen is using donaldsons filter media (nanofiber).

The big difference is the way they use the filter element, donaldsons powercore actually packs in a crap ton more surface area due to the nature of its design. Which is how they are able to do 100k miles vs xxk miles of an injen filter.

(if you think about it for a second it will make sense, just look at how the air enters into each filter)

THe injen is using the same material just in the "normal" way where its one barrier for the air to pass thru, the powercore could actually end up being filtered multiple times as it moves vertically through the element.

Donaldson says their filter removes 3 times more dust than traditional cellulose filters. INJEN says their Nanofiber Web filter removes 5 times more dust than traditional cellulose filters. Change the INJEN filter for a Donaldson you say. Ya I'll get right on that.

So your posts have drawn out a few things for me.

1. You are not an engineer.
2. You seem to love injen beyond reason.

If injen makes you that happy, by all means man keep using their products. The material they are using IS THE EXACT SAME as the donaldson powercore, because IT IS USING DONALDSONS FILTER ELEMENT MATERIAL. The difference is in the construction of the filter element, of which the powercore provides an order of magnitude more surface for filtration then the injen. If you cant see that i dont know what to tell you man. I can say this, im happy you are so happy with the injen.

PS just because your parents said santa was real, didnt actually make santa real.

Don't take this the wrong way! Do you work for Volant or Donaldson? You seem to have a pretty Big Hard-On for them.

lol, yes i am the one with a hard on that blocks my ability for rational and logical thought.

{Funny time, so dont get your ass all chapped about the below, i just needed a way to work the video into a comment on the forum}
If i didnt have any faith in human kind i would swear up and down you had your **** replaced with an Al tube with an injen logo on it. You know, so all the ******* could hear the sweet quack when they start sucking... (see the below video for the meme reference)

NOT WORK SAFE (NO REALLY IT ISNT DONT DO IT!)
G.O.A.T. AND YOUR M.O.M. Quack like a duck - YouTube

Like i said before, im super duper happy that you are so super duper happy about injen. To each their own.

It just amuses me how upset you are getting that I like my CAI and did not fall for your scare tactics and change it to the Donaldson. I think Donaldson makes the best material Nanofiber for tramping particles and yes injen uses that same Nanofiber supplied to them by Donaldson. To tell someone to change the INJEN filter without knowing how well it works is just strange .

1. Im not mad (if i was mad would i be cracking jokes?), highly doubtful.

2. It is not scare tactics at all, look at the difference between the hennescrewed intake tube and something with a powercore or even injen for that matter.

3. The design of the power core offers more surface area for filtration then an injen. (you can not argue that)

4. The power core has the ability to filter the air as it passes through the element multiple times due to its design. The injen and filters of similar design do not have this property.

5. I would love to see you do continual oil testing on each oil change like i have been doing. We can compare notes after 100k miles.

The difference between me and you is i am at least trying to collect hard data to use for my decision making process (and sharing it for others as well). You are just acting a fool and vomiting up marketing claims (see you previous post about how many X better injen filters airs...) and acting like a fan boi.

Trust me if there was something better then a volant (plastic construction, enclosed box, with a powercore filter or better option) i would take that shit in a heart beat.

Enjoy your heatsoak. :)

You were doing well in your argument till the end when you showed your anger again about my intake. I'm sure if anyone sounds like a fan boy its you more than me.
