My boss was Russ Oblenes. At least I think that's how you spell his last name. That should be really cool. Are the valves going to be Titanium? Twin 67s? That's awesome. Definitely going to need to beef up that tranny. Lol. I have a good story about turbo charging a little 2.4L I4 ecotec. 110mm turbo + boost spike = I3 cylinder ecotec. Lmao. It was awesome and a big mess.

The valves will be titanium and the thought of that story sounds hilarious in my head.

Ya it was pretty awesome. Of course me being the "shop bitch", I was elected to clean it up. I brought the engine home for a little while. It was literally 2 pieces. The one piece was the complete 3 1/2 cylinders and then half of cylinder number 4.

Yes, twin 67s

You're right, anyone can strap a blower or turbo to any vehicle but I personally love boosted engines. The kick in the ass you get as soon as that power adder hits is awesome.

I'll have to check with the engine builder on the crank. It's getting Corillo rods, Mahle pistons and I can't remember what valves he's putting in the head. I am going to be running stock compression. Did you ever work with Jon Moss. I think that's his name if I remember correctly.

Ford has always built some great engines. You're right about it being over kill for the crank but no one makes a forged crank for the truck so billet was my only option. I am going to keep it stock stroke. I'd be completely happy with 700 to the tires.

What gear are you referring to? My weak point after that is going to be my transmission but I am already researching it. I have been in and helped build couple insanely fast GT500s and you're right about never hearing someone complain about having too much power.

Cool cool. Should be a sick build. 700 at the wheels will be no joke. Interested to see the build progress on this.

I'll keep everyone posted best I can. Gonna have a lot going on in the next few months. Truck repairs, work, possibly military PCS and best of all my 2 month old son.

Engine has been at the shop for three months. The crank was sent out a couple months back to be reverse engineered and built. Parts have been ordered. The big hold up is the crank. They have bench flowed the heads and were surprised with stock flow numbers. Porting soon. Now it's just a waiting game

Why not just order a 6.6L stroker from Livernoise ? Fully forged from crank to pistons and no waiting for a custom stock stroke crank.

And you were correct. 6.2's are full cast. Bent rod sounds right for hydrolocking an engine.

Thanks for the water warning. About to install a Whipple and it has a similar exposed airfilter. will definitely be making a shroud for it now.

I talked to livernois and they are using turned stock cranks. Not my cup of tea. If I can get better parts for a little more coin and know that my engine can handle it, then that's the route I'm gonna go.

uh, I thought they were using forged custom cranks. Learn something new.
Definitely better off in the long run with a forged crank and a power adder. FYI: turbos are going to be a headache.

Also, I'm trying to get a group buy together for some billet oil pump gears. Your build is a great candidate.
