What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

this is what I heard and not sure how true it is, but its something to do with restriction on how many lights they are regulated to allow to turn on at one time. I think its 4. thats why fog lights go off when brights go on. which explains why those are covered and advertised as off-road lights and do not come on the same time as fog lights. even though they are the same exact lights.

The max of 4 lights on at one time has changed. Superduty and some other vehicles have 6 or more on at one time. Not sure why the covers are there, but there has to be a reason. They sure as hell wouldn't put them on if they didn't have to.

-XPEL XR Plus ceramic tint 30% in front 55% rear and windshield.

Slidemaster custom bedslide (Arb Zero 63qt fridge and OVS kitchen slide drawer pictured).

Yes, the cover snaps off, I guess Ford has to cover one of the lights. They pop right off with a set keys or screwdriver. I threw mine inside my glove box. They also sell amber covers that fit over the OEM lights.

I didn’t get any covers on the second set of lights.

Did my first raptor run through Ocala forest in Florida with some of the crew. Truly an epic day. Crazy that I beat the SHIT out of this truck, in baja mode, 4H for about 3 hours straight, in the Florida temps and not a hiccup. Earned my pinstripes, but thanks to ceramic coating, they came right out.

Congrats but ceramic coating does nothing to protect from scratches. You’d need PPF for actual protection.

Thank your for the info. It did a pretty good job protecting it this weekend. Can’t even tell. I know PPF will always be a better option but is what it is.
