I provided data and evidence that both CSF and Full Race work and are of good quality regardless of your concern that some boogey(china)man builds them. CSF has been building radiators since 1975 since you want to throw "time in business" into this equation now, even though it's completely irrelevant.

The raptor is not in any way special. A 6.2L V8 that even supercharged makes roughly the same hp and tq as the 2.2L 4 cylinder car in my signature. You guys act like getting one of these to run cool is some kind of black art because it says "Raptor" on the side. If you know the cores work (the important part of a heat exchanger), they will work in any application. And I know the CSF and FR cores work. CSF actually has a btube core ( https://csfrace.com/radiator-technology/#core ) which they claim is an improvent on standard oval core tubes.

To spend double/triple on an RD is absurd to me. It wouldn't even be a consideration unless i saw instrumented testing in the truck showing that money spent on the RD nets some huge performance gain. Like showing it maintains 200 while the other two get to 220-230 during the same test. For the record, I recommend against mishimoto because I've tested their oil coolers, intercoolers and radiators in cars and had temperature issues vs better quality parts like CSF, Setrab, Full Race, and other intercoole rmfg's you probably don't know about.

Basically you're arguing a perceived quality difference which you can't prove or know exists, and saying that somehow makes it worth a shit load more money.




I live in Vegas and travel to phoenix 6-7 times/yr. You don't have to tell me about hot. See above regarding your perceived quality difference that doesn't exist.

You are speaking on something that you don't know have personal experience on. Sure, they both work. But both parts are not the same. The Ron Davis is literally the biggest radiator that you can stick in a Gen 1 Raptor—the FullRace is not, which does make a difference in cooling. There are reasons why the two are priced differently.

I have plenty of personal experience with RD radiators in race cars. They make a nice part, yes. But not worth spending $1500 for a raptor radiator.

These evos running 1/2 mile are running in 100+ weather with a/c on ? Doubt it more like 70 deg no a/c .150+ mph you have enough air flowing to remove more heat than your creating . Not a valid point .

Your one of those guys that thinks everybody is a sucker in the world except you.

Thats why they make Tmex and Rolex Hyundai and Acura. Vizio and Samsung. Bet all your tools are Harbor freight

Last event it was 95*. Front bumper taped off except the intercooler opening, which is filled with ... intercooler. So the radiator is only seeing "used" air. Also the radiator is single core, 1" lol. The cooling system is putting in work.

I see you've found that you can't prove you spent an extra $800 for a reason so you've turned to personal attacks. Solid.

I'm sure the RD is a nice part. I still haven't seen testing to show running temp comparisons to show it's worth the steep price increase. The "bigger" equation for the RD is just a thicker core, the percentage increase they claim maths out to that. (1.35" stock vs 2" RD). It's a smidge thicker than CSF and Full race (they are both 42mm). Depending on the core's efficiency that could matter, or it could not.. Still haven't seen an actual test.

BTW, no HF tools for me :)

You could save a ton of money with Harbor freight. Does the same job .

There’s no personal attack in post 36. Unless you thought I was calling you insane. Which I wasn’t. Was only saying the price is insane.

So there's a C&R AND a CBR?? I haven't actually seen the CBR - I thought there was a typo involved in that, but now I see that's another option.

I'm the only who mentioned C&R early on. C&R makes quality stuff. They make rads for a bunch of NASCAR teams. I have one in my Mustang that was sold as a Steeda branded radiator. I do not see any thing for F150s though.

I have no info on CBR.

There is no correct answer on this. If someone thinks the RD rad is overpriced, then don't buy it. I own some Snap-On tools, I own some Festool tools as well. I also have stuff from Harbor Freight. I have a big US made tool box and I have a bigger Chinese made tool box. Everything is a trade off. Sometimes quality is worth it- sometimes it's not.

Again, unless someone actually compares materials, material thickness, along with internal construction details, there is NO way to say what is worth it and what's not.
