Forged Offroad IWE lines

anyone tried the Forged Offroad IWE silicone replacement lines? I’m at 71K miles with no trouble so far, wondering if I should just order this up as a service item until I can get the whole IWE system replaced down the road...

I've heard good things, but I've only replaced mine with a stock line.

What "whole IWE system" do you plan on replacing down the road?

Getting the kit to eliminate the IWE and just go live axle possibly.....I haven’t had problems so far, so this might just become lower priority, especially with new vacuum lines.

In any case, it would seem like a good idea to try and maintain things in working order.

I went to the thicker RCV rings (not eliminators) and have been problem free since (after many problems before that).

What the disadvantage to eliminating IWEs? Is there a noticeable difference going live axle? Does it damage any components or effect the ride? I find IWE's to be kind of stupid and im not even sure what the benefit to a system like that is

since doing the rcv eliminators, I've had to pay closer attention to my CV boots. granted my truck is not even close to stock anymore, there are other factors that may be contributing, but IIRC i've replaced 3 boots since the switch. I can change a boot in about 20 mins now, so it isnt a big deal for me, and I prefer to change boots rather than replace IWEs.

Select "Thicker" instead of "Eliminator"

You remove your IWEs, pop the stock rings out, and replace with these. I went with entirely new IWEs and wheel bearings at the same time just because I was already in there. I've had tons of IWE problems previously. None since - and now I'm supercharged.

That’s awesome thanks for the link Dane. I’d rather not alter systems if I can get around it. Quality maintenance pays off though. Think I’ll order up the forged Offroad silicone lines and maybe do some bearing service at the same time. I can see the sense behind that.

Yes, the hoses are very tight fit on the two tiny metal tubes on the IWE, take your time and don't force them. I don't like the type of connector they used at the vacuum connection end by the master cylinder, it does not have as positive of a connection as the stock connector. I put some specialty self sealing tape around this connection, as I don't trust it.
