Well I just took a trip to my local tubing supplier. Picked up some 1 3/8" tubing cause it was priced to sell.
Was gonna do 1 1/2" but this was plenty good for the rack.

There's a little bit of eye candy in the pic, CAN YOU SEE IT? ^^^ LOL

Ended up getting a new 2 Ton Aluminum Race Jack and a couple of 5.3gal gas cans with spill proof caps.

Then I started laying out my set up to see which way I wanted it and pull some measurements.

I'm also going to add a mount for a fire ext. and maybe a couple other things.

Give me your thoughts and ideas please on things to add or improve.
Thanks.

Are you making a alumium skidplate mount for the 2 ton jack. I wished I would have took welding class a little more serious when I was in high school. Can't wait to see your progress & the final product.

Looks like it'll be a nice setup.

Thank you!

I hope to make one but I won't be able to weld the Aluminum. My welder just won't do it. So I'll try to find a shop to do it.
If I can't then I'll just make the skid out of steel. One way or another it will have a skid.

My goal is to do the quick connect/disconnect with the pins like outlaws set-up.

I'm also thinking of making the tire holder part itself removable and just keep the container, gas cans, and jack in by itself for every day use.
Still working on the design.

thatll be a pretty cool setup. i highly recomend doing the bed bolt method to hold it down. Personally i built mine around my "in-bed" toolbox as i have tools/gas cans/jack and I can throw it in spare helmets and whatever emergency stuff I need, its all in a semi water tight/covered box

Nice jack. I used it multiple times in Baja this year. The owner had taken off the wheels and put an aluminum (maybe stainless??) skid under it.
