Morning, I buddy is thinking of buying a used F150. Thinkning 05 - 09. He heard Ford Excursions and F series have issues with the brake lines being in the way and this prevents using chains on the front tires.

With mountain weather and back country hunting trips he is worried this is an issue. I know I've had to chain up all four to get out a hunting camp after a freak storm (not in the Raptor - though I'm not sure it would make differnece in 3.5 feet of wet and crusty snow.

I've never heard this. Anyone else?

That's weird. Never heard of that. I have seen some F150s (though not sure what year) use them when I lived in Eagle, CO a couple years ago.
