Drive shaft and steering angles change as you change the truck to top perch. Unless I misread, Netix had both half shaft and steering rack problems.

One does not cause the other to fail, but are related as both have additional stresses imparted on them as the ride height increases.

Ive had 3.0s for a while a inch lower than top perch and everythin goes to shit. A pair of axles every 2-3 months was unacceptable thats why i went rcv or solid axle swap. Decided to just rcv it.

So I need to do something bout my rack, dealer claims excessive play in the rack and won't cover it due tiRPG tie rods.

As OP asked, are there any after market parts? Am I stuck with putting the same ford part in?

How do u like the rcv axles was it a easy install.

He was on top perch, per rcv they are not designed for top perch.. They are working on a solution, no eta on the revised axles.

Rcv told me numerous times it did not matter that I was on top perch. Said I just got a bad axle. I put in 2 sets. The second set did not go 15 miles and was spewing grease

They also told me they were in the process of a redesign of the axle for our trucks. Also the would contact me and I could be their " test truck" haven't heard a word since I returned them.

Hmm keep us updated on that beemerman as those were something i was looking at for a down the road addition.

I was told the same thing.. But at top perch the angles exceeds RCV specs, if they tell you anything different they are full of shit!
