I agree with the guys that said leave it be, until you have water. I would only use detailing spray or waterless washes if you were just cleaning off garage dust, or some bug splatter, kind of dirt. If it has real dirt on it, I would let it go.

Go to a family owned carwash and always pay for the premium service.

It takes only ten minutes to accomplish while entertaining wow questions and remember to leave a tip.
