Transmission Failure

I am leaning hard toward a dealer install issue.

I have lived here for 44 years and have NEVER heard and good from that dealership. All horor stories.

The new transmission is shifting fine. It just ran hot and puked fluid. It looked like it was on fire he said.

Its at his house now. After he pulled over it cooled down. He said it made it on home fine.

I am curious if it was overfilled.

He is an older gentleman and said his son will come over this afternoon and check the fluid level.

I always hate going on a forum and being a new guy to the forum and posting bad news. I own the forum for Polaris Slingshots slingshotinfo.com and it always sucks to have someone come on and post a hate rant...


I love my Raptor. I purchased the obd2 cable with the switch and have turned off all the annoying crap mine did. And I put the jumper on the start/stop switch.

I told this guy about how smooth and well equipped they were and sold him on the outstanding features. He and I both had a 2013 Black SCREW Raptor and I just kept telling him how much more refined this one was.


Here is some pictures of mine 7 days after I bought it. I bought it Dec 31 2016 and it now has 6800 miles. I drive the shit out of it.

Hey, so just an update on my awesome Raptor. My tranny issue was fixed, but I got to a whole 1,000 miles before my turbo took a crap. Sweet ride. Sasquatch will probably like this post!!!! Will let you know what the dealer has to say through this process. Problem is I sold my 2011 Raptor for 38K after the tranny fix. No spare vehicle at this point.

Unreal... sorry to hear about this. Time to ask for a brand-new replacement Gen2. Lemon law?

Gees man I hate this for you, I had a 2013 limited that would not stop having issues. I feel you pain. I would be driving down the interstate and the truck would just shut off.
