Trading up from FX2 to Raptor...Some Questions

My brother just switched over from a 2010 FX2 5.4L to the 2010 6.2L Raptor and he said it was a huge difference and loves it. He did go from a SCREW to a SCAB so he gave up the 10" or so room in the back seat, but owning a Raptor was well worth the exchange in his mind. Also check that the gap between bed and cab is uniform all the way up and down.

Also check the driver's seat for an indention. This who indicate it is equipped with the huge balls package.

Yea, I'm coming from an Ecoboost FX2, so I think I'm going to be disappointed powerwise unless I go with a 6.2.

In all honestly, the guys on here who have the 5.4L have no complaints with the power, so I really don't think you'll have a problem if you do find a killer deal and it's a 5.4L. But get what you want that will make you happy. You'll love the Raptor regardless.

Most of the guys with a 5.4 have never driven a 6.2. I avoid it like the plague, ignorance is bliss...

In 2010 10,437 Raptors were made.

4,635 are 5.4L
5,802 are 6.2L

As to color:
Tuxedo Black - 4,642 (2,683 are 6.2L)
Molten Orange - 2,498 (1,202 are 6.2L)
Oxford White - 1,825 (1,087 are 6.2L)
Blue Flame - 1,472 (830 are 6.2L)

You would not be disappointed with a 5.4. Love mine. 6.2 means that they have only .8 more than me. Thats less than 1. Anyway, both engines are great and you will love having a Raptor. I am looking into a 2012 or 2013. I will remove my 5.4 and put it in the new truck. Thats how much I love it. (kidding) Good luck with the search.
