Tint rear window over defrost elements?

Two things. One, living in NY I’m jealous you guys can not only carry, but can tint your front windows.

Second, as an amateur detailer, I know very well what a ceramic coating is on a vehicle. But what exactly is ceramic tint? Is it a marketing gimmick or is the plastic film actually made partly of ceramic?

If referring to Maryland, it is not a 2A friendly state however some of us get a hall pass. ;^)

I tinted my front door windows to match the factory rear door windows, and will do the back window as well.

Although my tint is fairly mild and there is a coolness factor, my main reason was medical.

Can anyone share approx cost on a doing a full ceramic tint? Im interested in doing this.

Circa $800 including sunroof and windshield. Kinda useless to do ceramic if you don’t do all the windows. 70% is hardly noticeable.
