I tried forever using my MacBook and USB but finally tried my wife's old PC and it worked like a champ!

Is there a noticeable improvement in performance or anywhere else, or is it just BLUE?

I'm not terribly excited about the blue.

When I put my VIN in, it tells me I have an update available but only to this one: SYNC3 v3.0.19205

I have an '18.. is the 3.4 only for newer builds?

I believe many with 18’s have been able to go to 3.4. But you may need to upgrade to 3.0 and then 3.3 before you get to 3.4.

There is a post listed for a hack to get you to 3.4 in one step, but it’s a large install and requires reformatting the system.

Im nearly positive they still use the standard USB type-A ports in the ‘20. I wonder if that USB 3.1 drive is just not compatible with our ports? You surely will not get the throughput speeds if plugged into a USB 2.0 or 3.0

On another note the truck doesn’t find any update OTA when checking. That’s a disappointment to some extent. Will have to flashdrive it.

3.1 drives should work as
Previously mentioned. Maybe it just needed another reformat and copy files down to it again? Looks like you managed with another drive however.
