Rear coil removal, and info on this?

I see where some have done spacers on the rear coils, but no mention of the removal process. Anyone do this and what does it take?
Seems straight forward, and assuming you need a spring compressor... just wondering if there are any tips.

Workshop Manual just states to support the axle with stands, remove the upper and lower shock bolts, lower the axle, and remove the coil springs.
