Random Question - Installed Console Vault Safe

Was looking at a R and it has the 'console vault safe' installed - I assume in the center console.

How easy is this to remove? Does it leave holes in the console unit where it bolts in - I assume so but can't actually see it??

Don't keep valuables in my car, so I'd rather not deal with another (locked) lid in the console if I could avoid it.

Hi there! The vault is easy to remove. It's four bolts. The holes would be on the inside of the console and would be barely noticeable if removed. The bolts are there less to "attach" the plates to the console, but more to "wedge" the plates to the inside of the console.
