Console Vault Safe

Can someone who has it tell me if it takes up all of the center console space or if you can still use the drop in tray above it?

There's enough room to store a few things on top of it, but it takes up pretty much the whole thing. It's almost flush at the top when you open the lid

You can't use the drop in tray above it, but there's a little space above it, can fit an iPad etc.

my drop in tray fits nicely next to the safe. There is a post of it somewhere here

Gen 2 but I’d bet console dimensions are similar.

GEN 2 - Center console question

Any one mounted a gun vault to the inside side of the center console? Wonder if it has two walls to it so the screws or rivets don't go all the way thru. I cant bring my firearm into work so would like a option to lock up without using all the space in my console. I'm actually not super...
