2012 with 25,000 miles (city/dirt road, no major off road or expeditions)

My local dealer sucks so I will be returning it to Wichita KS for warranty.

Anyone else have this issue?

Does it feel like fluid or grease? I'd say if it's fluid you're rack is done for man get it replaced under warranty if you still have one

Definitely fluid. Gonna pull the skid and check line fitting on that side/put a better eye on it. Have warranty so gotta get it covered.

Dropped my truck off at Mel Hambelton Ford yesterday. Wow, black Friday going on there as well. Nuts.

Picked up a 2012 F250 King Ranch for a loaner.

Service writer confirmed rack needed replaced. Informed me they would update Sync and Map along with the ABS system as I reported 2 occurrences of light coming on but going off immediately.

Guess we will see how it goes. They have a massive shop, has to be 30 lifts in that place.

My local dealer caught wind of me taking it to where I bought it and inquired and reported they just replaced a Raptor steering rack last week with a leaky RH boot.

Just finally got it to them yesterday the 27th.

On the 28th the service writer phoned and informed me they got the rack in and adjusted toe as per what Ford only covers. Informed me it would likely pull one way or the other and that caster and camber were off. Drove true prior to taking it in.

I authorized a eccentric kit and full alignment.

As a former automotive tech, it absolutely kills me to have anything wrenched on today.

Picked up my truck on Monday. Drives true as ever, eccentric kit installed, and new rack. The steer feels a bit snug, but I am certain it is mostly just due to driving that F250 for a couple days.

Overall, the Mel Hambelton experience was very good. If they would have cleaned the residue off the skid plate (which wasn't much) and ensured the steering wheel didn't have any tech grease on it (which was very very minimal) I would be giving them 100%.

Who was the dealership that you took it to first and reported the replacement?
