Except he is saying that the phaser issue is due to a worn timing chain which is incorrect.

That was a great video! I too am going to reduce my synthetic oil change intervals to 5k. Small price to pay for the additional wear protection!

I guess this particular motor was the older gen ecoboost?

The technician talked about the timing chain tensioner on each side starting in 2018 so he must be talking about all the 3.5 Ecoboosts.

It’s nice to get your money’s worth out of engine oil. I just feel much better keeping OCIs @ 5000 miles.
