I'm looking to "downgrade" from my OEM HID's. For styling purposes. I really like some of the aftermarket halogen projector headlights these days. Am i looking into a re-wiring nightmare or does anyone know of a manufacturer that provides the necessary components to do this swap. Tried searching but am having no luck.

Thanks!

The factory Ford connectors are pretty easy to de-pin. If you can find the appropriate ford style pigtail/connector for halogen headlights (im assuming the aftermarket lights are plug and play), you might be able to make this happen pretty easily.

Previous owner of my truck did this. They just cut the original wires and added connectors for the halogen lights. I can take a picture of the wires here in a little bit if that will help.

Keep me in mind if you go forward and are looking to sell the HIDs. I would like to restore mine to factory.

Thanks

So here is what I have on the passenger side light for wires and the matching PINs in the original connector.

PIN - Colors - Function
1 - blue / lt-blue - low beam signal
2 - purple / red - constant on (20A)
3 - purple / orange - high beam signal
4 - black - neutral

Some of the data on how this is all wired is here:

I would recommend making an adapter for this as so you don't have to splice into the wires. Looks like the parts are all out there

and for connecting to the orignal HID Side it is this:
https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex-connector-corporation/33481-0401/WM4692-ND/1756774
(Perhaps someone on the site can confirm)

To go even further and likely get better light using a relay system in there would help with the brightness of the system, I feel my lights run a little dim.
