Water wading anyone?
With the 2017 Raptor water is definitely your friend.
This vehicle is designed to operate in water 32" deep in the forward direction.
Reverse gets you 30"
This should help rinse off a bit of mud if you have a bad encounter.
So just where is this on the truck?
32" is the bottom edge of the tailgate.
Just below the headlamps.
One inch above the seam along the side doors.
And the middle of the sidewall tread at the top of the tire. (Or 1 3/8" from the tread edge). Where you see the sidewall radius.
30" puts you at the top edge of the bumpers.
All this sound like a whole bunch of fun but it come with a word of caution. (Page 15 Raptor supplement):
Driving through deep water may damage the transmission. If the front or rear axle is submerged in water, the axle lubricant and power transfer unit lubricant should be checked and changed if necessary.
Looks like playing in the mud and water will likely kick up maintenance costs.
