Gear head tune works good for towing or whatever. And is non specific for fuel. Worth taking a look at. Darrin have you looked at replacing plugs?

The switching of tunes is an actual re-flash of the ECU/PCM using the nGauge device. It takes several button pokes and 5-6 minutes of time with the vehicle stopped with engine off and the ignition on. It isn't a problem, just clarifying the process.

I didn't look into the details but figures it was something along that line. i appreciate you spelling it out though.

I did do the plug swap. Didn't make any difference.

I work for a Ford dealership and have been posting the details of our diagnostic process and findings in the engine stuttering thread.

Whenever I re flash I get a bunch of goofy crap TPM,remote start etc
So I try and minimize it
