HVAC not so powerful? And other complaints

i noticed this in my 19 ranger - and with this raptor - randomly it will just start blowing cold air for no reason. when its blowing hot air, and it's set to say 68, i ahve to put it down all the way to get it to blow cold air.

I miss my BMW, where i had it set to 72 and just adjusted the cold/warm dial a few clicks.
