How to Replace my 2014 HID Bulbs?

Hi all,

I have tried twice now to replace the OEM HID bulbs. I have no problem removing the headlight housing but I can’t figure out how to get the HID bulbs out. I’m afraid of breaking something. Has anyone ever done this? Is there a video or thread somewhere? Do I need to remove some screws? Or twist it certain way? I really need help.

Just did mine last week. Once you get the rubber cap off the backside of the housing, unplug the hid(it takes a good amount of wiggling and pulling) or at least mine did. Then get the torq bit i forget what size. Unscrew both sides carefully while not to drop them inside the housing like i did lol. Install new hid in reverse order and your gtg.

Yep, there are some tiny torx screws holding a.metal plate on. P.I.T.A.

Oh yeah once theyre out you’ll need to take that plate off the old hid and put on new one lol

I got them done on Sunday. The LED's I put in are super bright. Thanks so much for your help!! Now to change the turn signals!! Hope I don't get the hyper blink.

Well if you’re going led in the signals just get these before you do cause you’ll be getting the hyper blink lol. One for each led signal. These are also an easy install. I did switchback blinkers on mine.

Thanks for the heads up. The bulbs I purchased say they won't cause hyper flash. Once I install them I'll report back with brand and how they work.

Link to the bulbs you bought? How much brighter? Same cutoff line as stock?

Sorry for the delay. Here are Some photos. They look and work really well. The signal lights do have hyperflash but I’ll live with it for now.
