I just did my first oil change since I installed the Fumoto valve on my Raptor the last time I did an oil change....what a game changer! I love how quick/easy/CLEAN it makes the job! However, I'm not sure if I'm using the "right" kind of hose to connect to the valve. I bought some 3/8" ID clear vinyl tubing from the local hardware store, and it worked great, but when I removed the hose from the valve, I could tell that the hose was not in the same condition as before I put it on. Much stiffer, not as flexible, etc. Granted, I paid just over $5 for 10 feet of hose, and can cut the remaining portion that I didn't use into additional sections to be used for 2 or 3 future oil changes, but it seems like there must be a better option...something that doesn't interact with the oil and change the properties of the hose/tubing. Or is this just normal, and I should throw the piece of tubing away each time? I was hoping to be able to reuse it for more than just 1 oil change.
Anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer clear, of course, so that I know if the oil is still draining or if it's all done...
