Well I'll start with the back story....
3 years ago I started looking for a truck to meet my needs: Performance, Style, and Capability. I looked at the Big Three (Ford, Chevy, Dodge) and even Toyota. I knew of the Raptor, but never really looked into it. At the start of this year I started looking into the Raptor more and more. The more I researched, the more boxes were getting checked for what I wanted. So in May I started looking for one. I wanted to buy new, so I knew I was getting a truck that only I have touched and modified. Everywhere I went there were markups and lack of what I wanted. Until I found out a friend of mine was actually a fleet manager for a Ford dealership and he had just ordered the exact truck I wanted. I was out to sea conducting Carrier Operations upon learning this.
One month later I'm back on shore and my truck is currently making its way through the assembly line, born on June 4th. It's later delivered to my buddy's dealership on June 24th. I get approved for leave on July 1st. I fly down to Mississippi and arrive the morning of the 2nd. I didn't get an hour of sleep I was so damn excited. Well, we made it to the dealership, knocked out the paperwork, got the keys, installed my JLT Catch Can. and headed out with a full tank of 0% Ethenol 93 Octane.
My first stop other than getting gas was outside of Houston to get some rest. After getting a full 8hrs of sleep it was time to hit the road again. Needed to make it back to California by the 4th since it was my son's first 4th of July. Through a hell of a thunderstorm through Arizona that had lasted 4hrs and ****** LA traffic I made it home at 0800 on the 4th, just in time.
The truck now has 2800 miles on her and I couldn't be happier. It's also 3-0 for race wins. Everyone just wants to take on a Raptor lol. I've attached a few pics.
