Has anyone used a suction cup camera mount on the dashboard by the speaker successfully? Model suggestion?

I do not have a Go-Pro but a Pentax Optio with a 1/4" screw hole.

I use a suction cup GoPro in and out of the truck on the front window. You just have to pivot the arms in the right direction.

I like to video when the camera is up high, I mounted my go pro behind my rear view mirror and hard wired in the tower to the camera and the WIFI backpack. I just put in a 64 MB card and it runs for hours. i had to drill the case but it won't get wet anyway ( I hope)

When the camera is too low all you see is hood. Try the up high angle, I think it looks better.

K, do you have pictures or a right up on that setup? Sounds awesome!

Been out on road trips for work and missed thanking everyone for the input. As quoted above, I, too, would love to see some pix of that setup.

I am thinking below rear view mirror is ideal location for my camera as well.
