Beside commuting to work, I spend my free time in the Desert and/or towing a trailer (airstream). I wanted a solution to be able to mount the Reverse camera monitor (wireless) for the trailer. Right now, the wireless monitor attaches to the windshield a-la suction cup and plugs in to the 12v port on the dash. Not clean.
I also wanted the option of mounting an ipad Mini to run Gaia (offroad). I'm using this mount: https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-HOL-AP20U
I rant a 10ft lightning cable up to the dash as well as installed a SAE 2pin port (tapped in to the dash 12V and added an inline fuse) for the wireless monitor.
