I know I can get one when I order the truck and have the dealer install it, but is it worth it. Who makes the ford soft "folding" cover. Just curious, I was gonna put one on eventually but if its not much more to get it from the factory I will just do that.

Sorry I have to keep this short. Ther are all after market covers and can be bought cheaper on the open market.

One thing is if dealer does it at time of purchase you can roll it into the financing if you need to.

In some cases like the bak- flip Ford carries some will say is nicer.

Key thing is just what your doing ... Research. Dig into who makes the one you were looking at

My Roll n Lock was $1,100 installed and is the second one I have owned. The first one lasted for two and a half trucks, '05 Lariat,'07 FX4 and the '11 Raptor. I put a new one on four months ago and couldn't be happier.
I don't like the BakFlip fold up idea (last fold looks goofy IMO)and mine is fairly water tight and is completely out of the way when I need to haul something with the bed open.
I am just saying, do your homework on what you will be using it for even if you have to wait to get the right one.
Happy shopping!

? Not sure on which one you are looking at. I bought one for my last F150 FX4 SCrew with the 5.5' bed and it cost me $550. It was a folding soft cover. I can't believe people are paying above $1000 for the bed covers (unless it is a truck topper, there is a lot more that go into it).

Of course this is all my opinion :)

EDIT: I will be getting a truck topper and probably down the road get a soft folding cover when I am not running the truck topper.
